Prosecutors are expected to share new DNA evidence in the coming weeks in the case against a Cohasset man accused of murdering his wife, Ana Walshe. Walshe was reported missing just after New Year’s Day. Prosecutors are now trying to prove that Walshe’s husband, Brian Walshe, murdered Ana and dismembered her body. Brian Walshe’s case was back in court on Tuesday where prosecutors said they are awaiting the results of DNA testing, which are expected to arrive in two weeks. The DA’s office and Walshe’s defense on Tuesday also filed a joint motion to push the next court date in the case to November. On the same day that court proceedings took place, authorities conducted another search Tuesday connected to Ana’s disappearance. The Norfolk County District Attorney’s office confirmed state police were out combing through a wooded area near I-95 in Peabody as part of their latest search. The search came after the DA’s office said two people in the Peabody community who were “unc...Column: Jerry Reinsdorf finally fires Ken Williams and Rick Hahn, but perhaps too late to really matter

Chicago White Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf made the second-most-popular decision he could make Tuesday in firing executive vice president Ken WIlliams and general manager Rick Hahn. The only thing better, in the eyes of most White Sox fans, would’ve been for Reinsdorf to announce he was selling the team. But you can’t have everything in life, and at least, for one moment, Sox fans could rejoice. It was their victory, after all. There’s no chance Reinsdorf would’ve fired two of the three men most responsible for the downfall of the franchise (the other being himself) without the nonstop protests of Sox fans who had enough of the losing, the lack of accountability and the series of public relations blunders, from hiring Tony La Russa (Reindorf’s fault) to canceling SoxFest to trading popular third baseman Jake Burger. But don’t stop now, Jerry. There are more moves to be made. The marketing department led by Brooks Boyer has been a nightmare as well. HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Two people were injured in a shooting Tuesday outside a residence hall at an Alabama college campus, police said. The shooting occurred at Alabama A&M University, Huntsville Police Department spokesperson Sydney Martin wrote in an email. Investigators said the shooting stemmed from a fight between two people and was an isolated incident, Martin said. Both people have minor injuries, police said. One person was detained by police. Police do not think anyone else was involved. “This was not an active shooter incident,” Martin wrote in the emailed statement. The north Alabama campus was briefly placed on a lockdown, according to local news outlets. TOKYO (AP) — Kazutaka Yonekura dreams of a world where everyone will have their very own digital “clone” — an online avatar that could take on some of our work and daily tasks, such as appearing in Zoom meetings in our place. Yonekura, chief executive of Tokyo startup Alt Inc., believes it could make our lives easier and more efficient. His company is developing a digital double, an animated image that looks and talks just like its owner. The digital clone can be used, for example, by a recruiter to carry out preliminary job interviews, or by a physician to screen patients ahead of checkups. “This liberates you from all the routine (tasks) that you must do tomorrow, the day after tomorrow and the day after that,” he told The Associated Press as he showed off his double — a thumbnail video image of Yonekura on the computer screen, with a synthesized version of his voice. When his digital clone is asked “What kind of music do you like,” it pauses for several seconds, then goes into a ...Family, friends, teammates and fans gather to celebrate Steve 'Mongo' McMichael
